This week we settled back into school and talked about our feelings looking at the book ‘Worrysaurus’ by Rachel Bright. We made our own ‘Wellbeing Butterflies’ and discussed what we can do if butterflies flitter in our tummies.
We also learnt about how to mix primary colours to make new ones! These new colours went really well with our ‘Wellbeing Butterflies’.
This week we discussed what the census is and how it is important. We used class questions to find out what our favourite colours, animals and toys are. We used tallies, bar graphs and pictograms to analyse our data.
We also investigated which part of the school grounds had the most birds by counting how many there are in a certain amount of time. It was the playground! We thought of ways we could attract them to other parts of the school too. We thought bird feeders and houses could help!
