Special Educational Needs

SEN at St Martin’s School:

At St Martin’s School, we recognise the importance of supporting all children to achieve their full potential – emotionally, socially, physically and academically. We strive for inclusion, providing all children access to a broad and balanced curriculum where they can participate fully in all activities, irrespective of ability, disabilities, race, gender, ethnicity or social origin.

The Inclusion Team at St Martin’s School:

Helen Thompson – SENCo

Julie Howarth – Learning Mentor

Sarah Slingsby – Inclusion TA

In addition, our Family Liason Officer, Juliet White,

works very closely with our Inclusion Team.

If you would like to discuss your child’s Special Educational Needs please contact the school office on 01304 206 620 and make an appointment with a member of the inclusion team.

As a school we can access a range of services and multi-disciplinary professionals through the LIFT (Local Inclusion Forum Team) process.

Kent also provide a range of services available which is called the local offer. These services are available by accessing the Kent website. Kent’s Local offer is all about making it easier for people to find out about services available to 0-25 years old with special educational needs and disabilities.
